Germany-based slow fashion luxury brand CO-DE presented “SCART,” a colourful collection inspired by expressionist art. This collection features both womenswear and menswear, with a variety of statement layering pieces including cobalt jackets and a unique cream blazer with multicoloured panels. A brushstroke-patterned fabric is used throughout the collection and seen on loose flowy dresses and paperbag pants. Detailed beading is utilized as a unique accent in this artistic collection.

Ay Lelum- The Good House of Design showcased their Yuxwule’Sul’sul’tun (Eagle Spindle Whorl) collection, which chronicles the journey of the Supernatural Eagle bringing sunlight to the people. This collection honours the Coast Salish heritage of the Nanaimo-based designers, and features many motifs from their culture. Eco-friendly fabric such as tencel modal and bamboo was used to create their powerful capes and patterned hoodies. Flowy dresses with a screen printed spindle whorl design and burgundy tunics covered in eagles, killer whales, and serpents celebrates the beauty found in nature.

Le Cour
Le Cour

Le Cour is a Hawaii-based brand that created this collection from hand-mixed inks and mixed media techniques. The clothing is painted directly onto the model’s body in brightly coloured and elaborate swirl patterns. When the temperature shifts the ink turns into a biocompatible garment that changes colour when it interacts with water and sunlight. The form-fitting dresses, bodysuits, sets, and tees perfectly complement the wearer’s figure. This otherworldly collection comes in a variety of blue hues, with pops of pink, yellow, and black.

Killa Fibers

Peruvian accessories brand Killa Fibers’ collection is entitled “Heaven on Earth” and draws inspiration from the natural beauty of the Peruvian Andes. These beautifully crafted bags celebrate the talent of Cusco artisans. The black bag is emblazoned with brightly coloured flowers and repeating rows of intricate weaving. While the other bucket bag features unique patterning done in orange and gold on top and green and yellow on the bottom, the last bag has three thick stripes of pink, cream, and a muted red. All of the pieces in this collection are accented with tassel drawstrings.

Dresses are styled with knit capes and turtlenecks are layered multiple jackets. The outfits are styled with a contrasting variety of boots for a utilitarian feel. This collection features many monochromatic looks, from a full cherry red blazer and trouser set to a flowy green mixed gingham shirtdress. AETER presents an edgy collection of leather handbags, from masterfully crafted totes to unique crossbody bags. The styles come in black, white, and brown.
